The Beach Boys

God Only Knows how they do it, but The Beach Boys are still on the road.
Now in their 70s, jokes about staying up past their bed time were well received by the Brighton Centre crowd.
Consisting of three of its former members – Mike Love, Bruce Johnston and David Marks – this was a night where the California waves and flowery shirts were brought to the Brighton seafront.
Classics such as Wouldn’t It Be Nice, Surfin USA and Good Vibrations got the crowd off their feet throughout the two and a half hour show.
But there were large lulls in both parts of the set as the depths of the back catalogue were explored.
It did not dent the feel-good factor – but it did make you think how long these musical icons can keep on Getting Around as much as they do.

They were amazing. I particularly liked their covering “Please let me Wonder”, “Kiss me Baby” and “Let him run Wild” which were so beautifaul tears filled my eyes.
OK – some of the old stuff is dated and corny but still beautifaul harmonies.
