Nish Kumar – Long Word, Long Word, Blah, Blah, Blah… I’m So Clever

Intelligent, bright, silly, extremely funny and marvellously thought-provoking – Nish Kumar brings all this and at the same time keeps a disarming honesty that is both endearing and entertaining. He unflinchingly shares his mother’s criticisms of his comedy with us, deftly weaving his bigger picture political ideas with a personal perspective. Angry at times, yet with a conspiratorial smile just moments away, Long Word, Long Word… is pacey and cleverly written to engage the minds of Kumar’s audience further than simply tickling them for the simple laughs. Not one for the half cut or unprepared to commit, this is stimulatingly engaging, executed with a skill that stays with you beyond curtain down. A delightful mental treat.
