Eleanor Harris: An Eye on British Airways i360

Champagne flights

We are feeling festive in our office, as we have started selling online gift vouchers. Unique gifts include British Airways i360 adult and child flights, a Sky Bar champagne flight, afternoon tea package or VIP fast track experience.
Nine of us are based in a Portakabin on site including five full-time and four part-time staff; together we are building the i360 business and operations.
Our marketing activity is led by Sean Watkins from Hove who has more than 20 years marketing experience, mainly agency-side, working for major brands such as Virgin Trains, McVities and 3. The rest of the marketing team include Anna Prior, also from Hove, who manages our international and travel trade marketing; Georgie St Clair from Patcham who does a mixture of graphic design, social media and digital marketing; and Ruth Chapman from Hangleton who liaises with our contractors and neighbours, gives talks to the community and answers any email queries.

Our sales team is headed up by Pippa Atkinson from Steyning who has a background in local radio and football sales and worked at Juice. Sophie Shepherd from Fiveways is our venue sales and event manager, and worked for the Grand Brighton and the Conference People in Eastbourne.
Our operations manager, Dave Samuel from Southwick is well-known for running Paddle Round the Pier and the Pride street party. He is joined by Susan Corlett from Seven Dials who has operational experience from the Jerwood Gallery in Hastings and Exeter Street Hall in Brighton.
We will be recruiting more people in 2016 and post all of our job adverts on our web-site (britishairwaysi360.com/jobs) and BrightonandHoveJobs.com. It is also well worth signing up to our newsletter, as our mailing list subscribers are the first to know about job and tender opportunities. The next two roles we are recruiting imminently will be for the restaurant manager and retail buyer.
