Witnesses wanted after woman assaulted in Brighton city centre

A woman in her 50s was taken to hospital for treatment after being attacked in a Brighton street.

The incident took place in Russell Road on Sunday at just after 11pm.

The woman from Cuckfield was walking back to her car when she was assaulted – leaving her with cuts and bruises to the head.

The man is described as a white man, of eastern European appearance, in his 40s, of stocky build.
