Inquest into death of Shoreham soldier adjourned

The inquest into a Shoreham-born soldier has been adjourned amid concerns it may have been a homocide.

Lance Corporal Brynin was shot on an operation in central Helmand Province in October 2013 in an incident of friendly fire.

West Sussex coroner Penelope Schofield made the decision yesterday after hearing six days of evidence.

It will remain so until a decision is made by the Service Prosecuting Authority.
