The Tim Garland Electric Quartet

Grammy winning saxophonist Garland brought the core musicians from his forthcoming album to deliver two sets of progressive electric jazz. Each member was a world-class performer in their own right and together they gelled to form a watertight unit. Several pieces were being performed live for the first time including the Middle Eastern influenced Samai For Peace on which Garland’s soprano intertwined exotically with Asaf Sirkis’ dazzling percussion and Ant Law’s deft fretwork. Pianist Jason Rebello excelled on Chick Corea’s Windows and the ensemble were skilfully playful throughout the heavier jazz rock numbers ending with a bang on the powerful original Prototype.
