Together The People

Back for a second year and looking bigger and better than the inaugural event, Together The People is a collaboration between local promoters One Inch Badge and various local businesses and creatives, with a focus upon delivering an event that brings together music, food, community, arts and film. In 2015 the festival was powered by bio-diesel and solar technology, recycled over 5.3 tonnes of waste and generated over £2,000 in public donations for local homeless charity ‘Brighton Housing Trust’.

The return of the Incredible Moving Picturehouse as well as the Soapbox stage

The family-friendly festival is open to all ages, will host three music stages and see the return of the Incredible Moving Picturehouse as well as the Soapbox stage hosting a selection of talks, debates, poetry, spoken word and acoustic performances from local contributors and beyond.

The main attraction is surely Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys performing Pet Sounds and Greatest Hits. But the line up is exceptional across the board this year, with the likes of Nathaniel Ratecliff & The Night Sweats, Hiatus Kaiyote, Gaz Coombes, Turin Brakes, The Horrors, Peter Hook & The Light performing Joy Division & New Order Greatest Hits, Songhoy Blues, M. Ward, and many high quality local acts performing over the two days.

Together The People have also put together a very strong children’s and film line up, and will also offer local street food, craft beer, roaming entertainers, children’s entertainment, arts and craft, local ales and workshops.
