Brighton’s Arty
Move over Monet
If Monet had turned his hand to portraits rather than landscapes, the results may have borne an uncanny resemblance to the paintings of Tom Gameson (or so he says).
Want to judge for yourself? Then head to Marwood café, where – along with the irrefutable kick-arse coffee and life-changing cake – you can enjoy a display all of Tom’s work over his time in Brighton.
Tom paints in oils, in a traditional, impressionist-esque style, and the main feature of his new show is a series of four images of local singer/songwriters created especially for the occasion.
Tom explains the exhibition as a tribute to two things: “the spirit of creativity and Brighton, this lovely city by the sea, which has kept me inspired for the last year and a half.”
