Russian Ballet across Sussex

Directed and choreographed by former Bolshoi Ballet Soloist, Konstantin Uralsky, The Russian State Ballet and Opera House is coming to UK this Autumn with their productions of The Nutcracker, Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty Ballet.

Featuring an impressive cast and accompanied by a large live Orchestra with over 30 musicians this is classical ballet at its most delicious.

Swan Lake is the compelling legend of tragic romance – arguably one of the most loved and challenging ballets, not least thanks to Tchaikovsky’s instantly recognisable and timeless score, but also the great ‘Pas de Deux’,’ Pas de Quatre’ and iconic ‘Dance des Petits Cygnes’. Swan Lake captures, like no other, the full range of human emotions – from hope to despair, from terror to tenderness, from melancholy to ecstasy.

The Nutcracker – the beloved Christmas classic continues to capture the hearts and imagination of generations of theatre-goers.

Every child’s favourite fairy-tale, Sleeping Beauty is the classic story of love and innocence, mystery and magic set to Tchaikovsky’s sublime score. Stunning choreography, sumptuous costumes and wonderful sets form the fantasy world in which the Lilac Fairy struggles against the evil Carabosse. This ravishing production of the Sleeping Beauty is certain to leave you refreshed, relaxed and alert. It shimmers like an dream.
