Silly Saturdays

Unique, off the wall and with hints of Daniel Kitson, it would be fair to say that Chris Barnes smashed it at the Caroline of Brunswick on Saturday night. He introduced himself as the “sexiest man in Essex”, kicked off his phantasmagoric set talking to Siri. Then aptly threw in some dirty, crude and self deprecating jokes before talking to his Wayne Rooney hand puppet monkey. If you like surreal comedy that breaks through the boundaries of conventional humour, this is one to watch. Other talent on the night included: Nick Elleray, impressionist Drew Cameron, Karen Blott, Matt Willis and compère Charmaine Davies.
