Graffiti wars: Street artists pick up their cans against Starbucks
In a city as artistically rich as Brighton – everything is a canvas. The recent up-roar at a proposal to build flats in a popular graffiti spot goes to show that street art is taken very seriously indeed.
Perhaps that’s why multi-national company Starbucks was left licking its wounds after a PR stunt went seriously wrong. The company used graffiti space to create a mural – a replica of the coffee chain’s red winter cups design. The move saw street artists pick up their cans to rebel against the promotion .
