Return from Oz: Matt returns to his roots at Jacob Steel

Matthew Jacobs has returned from Australia to take up a director role at Jacobs Steel Estate Agents, the company his father Ashley formed with partner Derek Steel in 1984.

Matt worked part time for Jacobs Steel while he was at Worthing College before moving to leading London Estate Agent, Foxtons, in their flagship Notting Hill office. After almost five years in London, Matt made the decision to relocate to Sydney in 2008.

Matt joined Morgan McKinley, a highly regarded global professional recruitment organisation. Matt invested nine years with the business and was instrumental in growing their Australian market share through winning and managing many of their largest accounts. His most recent role as Operations Director formed part of the Global Leadership Team and had responsibility for leading five sales teams encompassing over 20 staff from consultant through to senior manager. Matt and his teams enjoyed high growth in revenue and headcount and have been recognised for their success with many industry awards highlighting their commitment to customer service and innovation.

After almost 10 years in Australia, Matt and his wife are excited to have relocated back to their home town with their two young daughters. Matt says he is delighted to have joined the family business and is looking forward to continuing to grow and build on its already excellent brand.
