The Story of You and I (A Performance Trilogy), Vertical Exchange Performance Collective

Only two audience members at a time can take part in this three-part intimate performance art journey, building trust and making beauty together through moments of shared collaborative ritual. The tiny Dutch cafe quickly becomes a quietly creative, almost magical space as a range of props are brought out, and the performers’ calm-voiced recorded instructions and the actress sitting at a table with you guide you through writing, crafting, and a pilgrimage to cast off regrets. Although the pre-recorded instructions are occasionally repetitive, going along with the experience may lead you to reach more deeply psychologically than you expected.
