Durrington man arrested with sword

Police were called to a home in Sussex yesterday after reports of a man wielding a sword. officers arrived at the residency in Durrington on Wednesday afternoon and discovered a man in the garden of a property in possession of a large sword.

The incident came to an end shortly after 8pm when police confirmed that the man was ‘safe’ and he had been arrested. Residents said the man seemed to be dressed in the costume of a marvel comic character but that the sword looked very much real.

At the height of the incident, around 20 police cars, a dog unit and two ambulances were parked in the street and the surrounding area.
