Rise

Rise started and ended with the unexpected. The show consisted of many sketches with the interconnecting theme of love. Halfway through an irate giant lion and oversized bunny rabbit argued and fornicated on stage. Their x rated pictures showed the ensuing romance. It got more surreal from here – a moon balloon, man balloon and girl with balloon hair on a tight-wire. The show needed some fine-tuning. Nonetheless creative minds, such as these, who make their ideas tangible for an audience to enjoy are praiseworthy. I liked that the creators were fearless and didn’t shy away from bringing their creations to stage, no matter how weird or wonderful.
