Any self-respecting music lover will see plenty of great gigs, but moments of perfection in the live arena are genuinely rare. This was one of those treasured occasions. Playing a stripped back, minimalist set, Kurt Wagner and the current incarnation of his band masterfully took the audience on a spectacularly beautiful and unique journey. Playing material from their most recent chilled, electronic inspired album FLOTUS and reimagining old songs in the same vein, everything from the venue and atmosphere to the faultless performance and crystal clear sound came together perfectly. An absolutely peerless work of art, and an absolute pleasure to witness.
