A view from the rostrum: New venue for Parsons Son & Basley’s Auctions

A very warm welcome to our September auction and to our brand new venue, the opulent Paganini Room situated on the first floor of The Old Ship Hotel, located directly on Brighton seafront.

It was with much reluctance we decided the time was right to change venues, however due to the continued success our auctions have produced over the past two years, we had simply outgrown our previous home at the Sussex County Cricket Ground. Whilst on this particular point I would once again like to thank all of the staff at the Cricket Ground for the wonderful treatment we received from them during our time there.

As well as a larger room, The Old Ship Hotel – which I understand is the longest established hotel in Brighton – will not only provide us with the accommodation we now require but for everyone attending, a lovely central location in the heart of the city centre directly overlooking the seafront.

For those travelling by car there are plenty of car parks available, with the most convenient one for you being situated just along the road at Churchill Square. For those of you attending by train, Brighton mainline railway station is just a 15 min. walk away. Buses stop at the Clock Tower and Churchill Square itself.

Prior to the start of the auction we will as usual be providing light refreshments, however for those of you wishing to purchase something a little stronger in order to celebrate the acquisition of your new property, these facilities are located on the ground floor of the hotel.

I very much look forward to seeing you at our brand new venue on the 22nd September, which has the exact same start time as before: 11am.
