Blue-Rose-Code

1 Blue Rose Code brings more beautiful lyricism and warming melodies. Previous albums have featured such luminaries as Ewan McGregor, Danny Thompson, Karine Palwort and the late John Wetton joining Ross Wilson’s Edinburgh burr, and the latest release ‘…And Lo! The Bird Is On The Wing’ will be no exception.

Full-Minefield-cast,-image-Manuel-Abramovich

4 Another chance to see Argentinian theatre-maker Lola Arias’ Minefield, after it’s successful turn at the Brighton Festival earlier this year. A thoughtful, humane work, Minefield unites British and Argentinian veterans from the Falkland Islands/Islas Malvinas war to explore their memories, through archive footage, live feeds, music and projection.
ACCA, Wednesday 15 – Friday 17 November, 8pm, £12/10

Nina-with-Mask-(White-Dress)-Credit-Idil-Sukan

5 Back by popular demand, Nina Conti returns with her ‘In Your Face’ show, using her own specially made masks to make stars of the audience. Mixing ventriloquism with improvisation, and of course joined by the never bashful Monkey, as well as her bag of clever comedy tricks for a great show. There’s a reason she’s won the British Comedy Award, made a BAFTA-nominated film and is top billing on the live comedy television shows – it’s called talent. Come along and witness it.
Brighton Dome, Friday 10 November, 7.30pm, £21
