Martlets opening new store specialising in charity shop chic

The Martlets is opening a new charity shop on Western Road (opposite Argos) this Friday.

It promises to be chic – with the coolest picks of donations to Martlets charity shops being collected and sold in the new store.

Martlets say the shop will specialise in “quirky, on-trend pieces which reflect the city’s unique vibe.”

Clothes, accessories, homeware, vinyl and CDs, book and “eclectic” furniture will all be for sale.

Shoppers will be encouraged to take selfies of themselves in the new outfits and post them on social media using the hashtag #FoundInMartlets

Ian Hart, Head of Trading for Martlets, said: “We’re really proud of our new shop. It’s got a fantastic look, with a sense of playful laid-back cool that I’m sure will be popular here in Brighton.

“The income we receive from our shops is vital to Martlets in helping us to provide the very best care and support for our patients and their families.

“We’re currently looking for volunteers who have a passion for fashion and can help our customers in perfecting their ultimate outfit.

“Volunteering also looks great on your CV so, if you’re thinking about following a career in retail, fashion or styling then this would be a fantastic opportunity for you to gain vital work experience.”
