2 St Etienne arrive in Bexhill with Sarah Cracknell and co. playing their latest album, inspired by their bitter-sweet relationship with the eponymous shires that have always been part of their lives, co-produced by Shawn Lee of Wall Of Sound and Young Gun Silver Fox fame.

3 Joseph, Mary, the Archangel Gabriel, Herod, God, and many, many more are all performed by the self admiring Desmond Olivier Dingle and his entire company of one – the helpful (but not always) and willing (but not always) Raymond. Seasonal frolicks in the form of the very funny The Messiah.

4 Seafarers UK, the leading maritime charity, return to Worthing for an evening of entertainment provided by the Band of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines Collingwood. This concert is part of the charity’s annual fundraising season of concerts with the Royal Marines Band, and consists of a diverse programme of music.

5 Spreading Christmas cheer in more ways than one, Funny For Food returns after its success earlier in the year. With Joe Wilkinson headlining, support from awesome acts Alice Fraser, Joe McCarthy, Sameena Gehra, and MC Aidan Goatley – the premise is simple. You get a great comedy night and the ticket fee is paid in food bank donations. These can include nappies, shampoo, tinned food, washing powder – take your pick of long life goods.

6 A New Act Night unlike any other – this is the graduation night for those hopeful would-be comedians who have completed Jill Edwards’ Comedy Workshop. With around a dozen acts each with a three-minute set, they are performing in the footsteps of giants with former graduates of the course including Seann Walsh, Jimmy Carr, Angela Barnes, Simon Evans, Shappi Khorsandi and Romesh Ranganathan. Say you saw the comic genius from the very start.
