Lany
The californian trio Lany, performed their debut album to a sell-out crowd of loyal (largely teen) fans.
The voice message signalling the band’s imminent arrival claimed it would be, “a night of tremendous and beautiful promise”, and “could turn out to be one of the greatest nights of your life.”
It wasn’t quite that but it was an enjoyable evening with a good atmosphere.
Lany is a band for the millennial generation. Their emotional lyrics about the struggles of relationships appeal to their target audience.
Whilst definitely worth a listen I suspect they won’t have a significant impact on the musical landscape.
