Stephen Hawking tributes fly in from across the globe

World renowned physicist Stephen Hawking died on Wednesday the 14th of March at the age of 76.

The British scientist was famed for his work with black holes and relativity, and wrote several popular science books including A Brief History of Time.

At the age of 22 Prof. Hawking was given only a few years to live after being diagnosed with a rare form of motor neurone disease.

The illness left him in a wheelchair and largely unable to speak except through a voice synthesiser.

And tributes have flown in from right across the world.

Neil deGrasse Tyson said an intellectual vacuum has been left in his wake, Jeremy Corbyn thinks Hawking’s determination has inspired the world and even NASA tweeted declaring him as an ambassador for science.

Latest TV was in Cambridge to see how many lives he touched.
