The Case of the Frightened Lady

The Case of the Frightened Lady by the master thriller writer Edgar Wallace provides an extremely enjoyable evening out. As it is set in a stately home in the twenties it provides great opportunities for the set and costume designers. It is a Rubik’s cube of a play with many pieces to be manoeuvred, frustrating your efforts to find the killer. As the body count mounts up, the next victim is usually the one you most suspected! All of the characters have secrets bubbling away just beneath the surface, which makes for a great play as well as a great whodunit.
