Once again, the Creative Learning programme at the Theatre Royal Brighton is offering a host of exciting, workshops, courses and events off stage for people of all ages.

Join them at The Barge at Brighton Marina and on the terrace at the i360, to find out more about their theatre and enjoy family activities at these free summer special events. See items from the archive and enjoy free family arts and crafts sessions.

Open Doors
Take a look around, under and on the stage in a special tour for families, which includes a meet and greet with their children’s club mascot Skip the mouse!

Open Day
Craft activities, archive information, demos from the tech team and a chance to take a peek into the dressing rooms, under the stage and on the stage of the historic 211 year old building.

Performances, courses and workshops
The Secret Life of Fairies
Not all fairies live in the woods, some have other ideas! Join The Fairy Preservation Society on a secret journey around the theatre – make a magic potion and cast a spell in this magical experience for 4–8 yr olds and their grown ups.

Twilight Picnic
From the Stage Door journey through hidden parts of the theatre on your way to the secret twilight picnic spot. Things to see, songs to sing and stories to share in this magical event for families with children.
5yrs+. price includes a picnic bag.

Torchlight Tours
Follow your guide on a night time backstage tour and hear the stories of people from its 200 year history. Torches provided!

Backstage World
8–12 year olds and accompanying adults spend the morning behind the scenes in this exciting workshop with the theatre’s technical team. Discover the basics of theatre lighting and sound, what happens backstage before and during a show and how the flying system works.
