Hollie Cook

A quick return following her March show saw Cook in a playful mood as she sang and swayed her way through a set of sun-kissed reggae. With a heavier dub feel courtesy of backing band General Roots, the bass was as deep and stomach-shaking as her voice was sweet and heartwarming. Her enthusiasm was infectious as she treated her ‘Brighton babies’ to a mix of Lovers Rock, Rocksteady and tropical rhythms. A cover of ‘Sweet Like Chocolate’ saw her riffing with the crowd and scatting with the guitarist while the dreamy pop encore ‘Stay Alive’ rounded off a glorious night.
