LATEST CIC’S LIVE & LET LIVE PROJECT

AS PART OF LATEST CIC’S LIVE & LET LIVE PROJECT WE ARE HOLDING A HOT LGBTQ+ VALENTINES PARTY STARRING THE LEGENDARY LESBIAN PUNK BAND SIREN!

Join us at Latest Musicbar this February for what promises to be the best loved up evening of the season. Yes whilst in the heteronormative world couples will be wallowing in rich food and red roses, we plan to celebrate in a far more exciting and appropriate way.
The stunning Siren, a band that formed in the late 1980s at the height of the punk movement and were at the forefront of gay activism are back and hotter than ever. Their message charged music is full of energy and intent and it’s great to see that these ladies of a ‘certain age’ are still performing and still writing politically poignant songs.

Supporting them on the night will be Greymatter. This all-girl British pop rock band have three albums available worldwide, have toured the UK and Europe and have graced many well known stages and events throughout their time performing. The group delivers beautiful vocal harmonies and lively layers of enduring rich melodies, carefully interlaced with heartfelt lyrics about life, love, heartache, yearning and passion. Perfect for a romantic celebration of LGBT+ love!

Between acts we will be playing the Trax Of My Queers, the must dance anthems that got us all up and on the floor across five decades of gay
clubbing – think It’s Raining Men and you can’t go wrong!

The evening will be compered by the inimitable Zac Backencrack, the outlandish and outspoken American TV host, the drag king creation of Alison Child author and historian. Zac is the full on comedy representation of all that we hate about macho man and his machinations, you’ll love to loathe him whilst laughing all your way to the bar, oh yes, the bars will be open until late so drinking, in respectful moderation, will be encouraged, in fact fill yer boots!

16 February 8 till late, Latest Musicbar
