Shakespeare’s Lost: A Surreal Love Letter to the Bard

Actor and educator Sarah Mann joins Mark Brailsford’s Brighton Shakespeare Company for Shakespeare’s Lost, a surrealist comedy debuting at the Lantern Theatre this May. Drawing inspiration from the absurdist humor of Gary Larson, the play follows two castaways on a desert island whose survival depends on the Complete Works of Shakespeare and a mischievous, gender-fluid genie. The production serves as a fast-paced, one-hour “love letter” to the Bard, blending slapstick humor with the timeless beauty of his language.
