Rare People, funding the AI repurposing of drugs to help people with rare diseases
Frankie is a little girl who is only one of 200 people in the world with an ultra-rare genetic brain developmental condition called DeSanto Shinawi syndrome DESSH. Her parents, Dr Laura Galloway and Professor Rob Galloway have set up the charity, Rare People to help Frankie and other children and adults with rare diseases. Latest TV met with the family to find out the story behind Rare People, and how it helps to fund research into using AI repurposed drugs to help a wide range of rare diseases.
