Family and city grieve as three sisters identified

Three sisters, Jane Adetoro (36), Christina Walter (32) and Rebecca Walter, (31) have been formally identified following the recovery of their bodies from the sea near Brighton Marina on Wednesday 13th May.

Their father Joseph, has issued a heartbreaking tribute, describing his beloved daughters as unique and precious with smiles that brightened dark days and their presence making life more meaningful. “Though your time on earth was short, the impact you made will remain in our hearts forever”.

Sussex Police have issued a statement to say “There is no evidence to suggest third-party involvement or criminality, but specialist detectives are working hard to gather the full facts and circumstances of their deaths,”

The deaths of the sisters have deeply affected residents of Brighton & Hove and Sussex Police asked all to respect the family’s privacy while they “come to terms with this terrible tragedy”.

We add our heartfelt sentiments and send our condolences to the family and friends for their overwhelming loss.
