Legally Blonde: The Musical

Legally Blonde set to hit the stage

Legally Blonde – The Musical, the West End and Broadway sensation, visits Theatre Royal Brighton in March for the first time ever. Winner of seven major awards including the coveted Best Musical 2011 (Olivier Awards) this all singing, all dancing romantic comedy is about knowing who you are and showing what you’ve got!
Based on the hit movie starring Reese Witherspoon, this critically acclaimed new musical is created by a top-of-their-class creative team, led by Tony Award-winning director and Olivier Award nominated choreographer Jerry Mitchell (Hairspray).

College sweetheart and homecoming queen Elle Woods doesn’t take no for an answer. So when her boyfriend, Warner, dumps her for someone serious, Elle puts down the credit card, hits the books, and heads for Harvard Law School in an attempt to win Warner back. With some help from new-found friends Paulette, Emmett and her chihuahua, Bruiser, she learns that it’s so much better to be smart.

Legally Blonde – The Musical is the funniest and most fabulous musical around. The best show in town, case closed. The cast is led by Faye Brookes as Elle (Grease in the West End), Iwan Lewis as Emmett (Fame in the West End, Passion at The Donmar Warehouse), Les Dennis as Professor Callahan (TV’s Life’s Too Short and Family Fortunes and Empire pantomimes including Cinderella and Peter Pan), Ray Quinn as Warner (Brookside, X Factor finalist, Dancing On Ice winner and star of Dirty Dancing in the West End) and Niki Evans as Paulette (X Factor, Blood Brothers in the West End and on tour).

Howard Panter, joint Chief Executive of Ambassador Theatre Group and one of the show’s producers, said of the show: “People across the UK have taken Legally Blonde into their hearts and are having an Elle of a party at the theatre. Critically acclaimed on tour and getting standing ovations night after night, we are thrilled that Legally Blonde – The Musical, the success story from Broadway and London, will visit Brighton for a two week run.”
