Gloria Hunniford opens ‘cutting edge’ new care home

A new care home in Brighton was officially opened recently. Maycroft Manor Care Home on Carden Avenue was declared open by television and radio presenter Gloria Hunniford who described the home as “the cutting edge of what a care home should be”.

Gloria, who spent time living in a care home for a television project last year, cut the ribbon in front of 200 of guests and gave her backing to the spectacular new care home. The 99-bed home is operated by Hallmark Care Homes – a multi-award winning care provider with homes across England and South Wales. Maycroft Manor’s General Manager Lesley Standing said: “This building is beautiful and the facilities we have are exceptional. However, that’s just one part of it – the other part, of course, is the outstanding level of care which we will provide to every one of our residents”.

The home welcomes its first residents at the beginning of December and will provide nursing, residential and dementia care.
