Car Quids: Car owners in Brighton find ingenious way to save money on their journeys
A company which helps car owners combat rising motoring costs by paying them to display adverts on their car is launching in Brighton at the beginning of January.
Anyone with a car can sign up to Car Quids by completing a short registration form on their website. They are then matched with a brand that wants to advertise on their car. The first adverts in Brighton will feature financial technology service PensionBee, a company that allows you to combine all your pensions into a single, good value online plan to combine all your pensions into a single, good value online plan.
Car Quids was the idea of a recent graduate, who was out enjoying a pub lunch in London and looking at passing taxis. Realising how many taxis carried advertisements, he was inspired to try this with privately owned vehicles and put corporate marketing budgets into the pockets of individuals. Company founder Viraj Ratnalikar said:
“I’m really excited to launch Car Quids in Brighton. We’ve run successful advertising campaigns in other cities, where some of our drivers have completely eliminated their vehicle running costs completely.”
Car Quids currently has more than 10,000 drivers signed up meaning it has already helped motorists earn tens of thousands of pounds and offset spiralling insurance premiums, repair costs and car tax across the UK.
Car Quids has already ran successful campaigns in several cities across the UK, such as London, Birmingham, Nottingham, Edinburgh, Hampshire – and now Brighton. You will see Car Quids’ PensionBee branded cars buzzing around Brighton really soon!
