Reginald D Hunter – Sometimes Even The Devil Tells The Truth

Reg D Hunter has something of the intellectual seducer about him, an articulateness implying he could get you to believe anything given the right number of words and unbroken eye-contact – all with a sly smile and an air of faux innocence that pulls you in to his journey of out-there ideas and familial anecdotes. With an honesty that cuts to the core of believability and true entertainment, that never once dips into that dangerous land of self-indulgent less funny venting, Hunter is a master of his craft. As such he brought one of his mentors, John Gordillo, on as his support act – without pomp in such a large room and with a sharpness of mind and humour that clearly ties the two men together. An excellent show.
