Innovation, self-build and renovation take centre stage at The Eco Technology Show 2013

Eco innovators from across the UK will converge on the South Coast next month for the annual Eco Technology Show. From the latest in building control technology to bio-mass boilers, eco stoves and even waterless urinals, The Eco Technology Show will combine new product launches with the opportunity for visitors to see and try out many of these exciting innovations.

An action packed day out, including three exciting exploration zones: Eco Build, Renewable Energy, Office, and Home, Transport, Technology and Innovation zones.

Eco innovators exhibiting at the show include:
• View concept cars including Vauxhall’s Ampera electric car and Citroën’s DS5, the world’s first diesel Hybrid vehicle.
• Discover the latest renewable energy home products from infrared flooring to organic roofs.
• View the latest self build innovations including sustainable plumbing, heating and construction products.
• Explore the latest garden products from rain water harvesting to micro irrigation.
• Visit the FotoDocument installation featuring Rodney Dekker’s “Reclaimed Journey’s” exhibition which they commissioned about waste & recycling in Australia.

Helping visitors to get ahead and save money with the latest low carbon products, The Eco Technology Show will also include 60 expert-led free practical workshops and seminars.

Including a whole seminar area dedicated to self- build and renovation topics will include:
• Oliver Heath, interior designer and TV presenter speaking on’eco-transforming’ a 1960s house – Understand the practical domestic energy saving solutions that can be used in a 1960s house & how long it takes until their investment pays back
• Energy efficiency and renewable energy: Increasing success ratios on planning applications – including sustainability measures in property developments can help you engage with local authority planning processes and make your scheme successful
• Why self-build your home? The opportunities and benefits of self-building your home and some of the pitfalls of what to avoid
• The Green Deal –what is it and what can it do for you? Understand how you can benefit from the Government’s flagship ‘Green Deal’ building energy efficiency retrofit programme.

Visitors to the show will also be able to enjoy a free consultation with an expert in build, finance, energy, waste or transport issues at the Advisory Hub.

The aim of The Eco Technology Show is to share many of these break through eco innovations with the public for the first time, enabling visitors to meet with the experts behind them and learn more about how making low carbon product choices can also save money. Visitors of all ages are guaranteed to learn something new at this year’s show and it promises to be a fun-filled weekend.
