Brighton Comedy Festival Opening Night Gala

This was an evening so peppered with stars of the present and future it was a veritable Roman orgy of contemporary comedy waving the flag for The Sussex Beacon. Starting with Adam Hills, closing with Michael McIntyre, and packed with headliners of the calibre of Jon Richardson, Kevin Bridges, Jack Dee, Simon Evans and Seann Walsh in between, as well as relative new faces but closing acts on most other bills in the form of Angela Barnes and Suzi Ruffell, this was an astonishing and delightful line-up. Not a one disappointed, bringing their A-games for host and charity patron Alan Carr. What an awesome show of support for such a worthy local charity, and what an incredible night of playful, truly engaging and downright funny comedy from a collection of acts that truly showed why they are so successful in their field. A fireworks night to kick off the Brighton Comedy Festival in style.
