Mike Wozniak – Take The Hit

Although selling himself as Mr Showbiz, Mr Wozniak is more Mr Domesticated as his show centred on his difficult live-in mother-in-law, the travails of parenting and his relationship with the missus. All grist for the comedy mill but what makes Wozniak stand out, apart from the spangly on stage backdrop and faux showbiz ambition, is his language; very few wasted words here and some nicely evocative images. A highlight was his encounter in a Newcastle youth hostel (not as sleazy as it sounds). An evening of never less than solid comedy that made me look forward to what he does next.
