The highly-productive Anglo/Antipodean combo, whose album ‘Comfort’ was released a little over a year after forming, kicked off un-spectacularly with a couple of Oasis-like nods to psychedelia before blasting out ‘So Young’; a spacey synth heralding a more original, but still trippy sound that was complemented by the projected visuals. Jacob’s Dave Grohl-style solid drumming gave singer/guitarists Sasha and Toto free rein to set effects pedals to 1969 and ‘prog out’, which, while enhancing the songs, meant that their hour’s set barely made it to double figures. Thankfully quality outweighed quantity and the high-powered finale sealed a raucous night.
