Warpaint

This all girl band were a haunting presence tonight at the Dome. With their new, self-titled album having just been released, the set was multi-faceted with new songs filtering into old. Though it may have been a slow starter, the set picked up midway as the lights came on and the crowd were told to get dancing. The band exuded whimsy and managed to crescendo the evening into a medley of their tracks. What stuck out the most, was the bassist and her rhythmic movements, which were almost ethereal and captured the evening’s essence perfectly. Warpaint are an entrancing experience that will leave you wanting more.
