La Bohème

Puccini’s epic tale of poverty and doom has been adored the world over, firmly securing itself a place in the official Italian opera repertoire. Ellen Kent’s production delivers a touching, and charming performance for any opera fledging. The classic and contemporary set fusions were innovative, notably the Parisian street scene. It’s likeable and engaging international cast skilfully belted out Puccini’s woeful libretto impeccably with Korean soprano, Elena Dee, stealing the show as ill-fated Mimi. Tonight’s anguished tale of four parts proved to be tender, funny, and as expected, tragically romantic!
