Stephen K Amos

“If you didn’t think that was racist, what about this…” suggests a bemused Stephen K Amos. It isn’t the cheap thrill of provocation that makes Stephen such a brilliant stand up. Although he delights in taking on known sensitive themes such as race and sexuality during his rapturously received performance, at points with some predictability, it is his sharp improvisation wit really steals the show.

He abandons plans for a support act and uses the first half hour to work the room, which mainly meant chastising a whole row of teenagers at the front. Within 20 minutes he has brought the house down and the hit rate doesn’t drop. Relaxed with searingly funny anecdotes, Stephen K Amos is the consummate professional.
