Property news: Michael Jones wins a string of property awards


Local award-winning estate agent, Michael Jones, picked up another seven awards at this year’s ESTAs.
It swept the board in the regional categories for sales and lettings, and claimed two national awards.

The 11th annual Estate and Letting Agency Awards (ESTAs) took place on Friday 9 May at the London Hilton on Park Lane. At a lavish luncheon and ceremony, TV star and property guru Phil Spencer handed over the seven stunning trophies to the Michael Jones team.

The wins included gold awards for Best South East Sales Office (New Homes) and Best South East Letting Office (Worthing), as well as silver awards for the Lancing and Broadwater offices – and a bronze for Goring. However, it’s the fact they won two national silver awards (Best National Small Chain Sales and Best National Small Chain Letting) that’ll make those at Michael Jones most proud.

The ESTAs are the largest and longest running awards in the UK property industry. These highly regarded and much coveted awards have a unique scheme where customers and clients rate the service they receive from their agent, so it’s the customers who choose the winners.

790 Estate Agents took part across 18 regions around the UK and a staggering 32,000 questionnaires were completed by customers during the competition. The awards not only provide valuable feedback for all entrants, they also enable estate agents who offer high service levels to be rewarded and given the accolade they deserve.

Phil Spencer, who has hosted the ESTAs every year since their inception in 2004, said: “An agent’s role is about guiding people through one of the most stressful times in their lives and that’s not an easy job.”
