A Victory For Chocolate Lovers …

Local Hove businesswoman Evelyn Day, of Chocadyllic fame, has scooped a major award at this year’s Sussex Woman of the Year 2014 awards. Ev Day quit her job in finance to pursue her dream business of creative chocolate baking. Since then, she has impressed and stunned her friends with her skills and imagination and gone on to launch a successful and growing business – Chocadyllic. Using chocolate to decorate cakes and craft chocolate products, her work is like no other.

The awards ceremony took place at Fontwell Park Racecourse in Arundel on Friday 18 July. It was hosted by Mark Collins, from radio station Wave 105. The Sussex Woman of the Year Awards celebrate women and their achievements in the community, personal lives, or business. Ev Day won the award for the category ‘Woman to Watch’, an award for an exciting up-and-coming woman from any field. The overall ‘Woman of the Year’ was Katy Jobbins, who also won the ‘Success Story’ award.

Evelyn’s background in art and design, architecture, illustration and web design influences her creations. Her edible art pieces vary from graphic design style to fine art, with flair. All her creations are handcrafted and the best thing about her pieces is that they taste as good as they look!

On winning the award, Evelyn said: “I’m delighted to have won this award, I feel honoured and grateful. It has given me a real boost to continue growing and developing Chocadyllic.”
