This night dedicated to new performance pieces showcased some of the most experimental work seen in a long time. The Marlborough was stripped away as we became intimate with the rawness of each piece.

Cool Hunting saw the reality behind an REM tribute band that was never going anywhere. Whilst the structure was there, sadly the energy was low and silences were too long to fulfill all expectations. Beetle and Bird performed the strongest piece tonight, showing physical theatre at its most creative – that is, aliens on a planet experiencing life.

Both pieces needed further work, but the essence was there. An enjoyable evening for all who attended.
