Lucy Worsley: A Very British Murder

Lucy Worsley is a little bit disturbed. There, I’ve said it. She’s like Hong Kong Phooey; by day she’s the mild mannered joint chief curator at Historic Royal Palaces, by night she’s frothing over crime books, police records and salacious tittle tattle in tabloids all for the sake of her hobby – Britain’s obsession with murder. There’s no getting away from it, she’s a very good orator, and as such this was an engaging and entertaining lecture. Not so much delving deeply into the murders themselves but more the fall out from such events, and how we (as a public) lapped it up, and still do.
