Underworld

The recent plethora of live album playback gigs is becoming somewhat devalued of late, but some albums are still seminal enough to warrant the special treatment – Underworld’s resurrection of ‘Dubnobasswithmyheadman’ is certainly one of them. This show was a near perfect celebration of an album which sparked a systemic shift in dance music and it sounds just as fresh and exciting now as it did 20 years ago, even in the slightly jarring ornate surroundings of the Dome. Bass, beats and poetic ramblings have rarely fused so brilliantly – a true triumph of electronic music.
