Sussex taxpayers to be charged £5 a year more for policing

Taxpayers across Sussex are set pay an extra five pound in rates a year.

It comes after the move from Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne was backed by the independent police and crime panel.

The money will be used to invest in digital forensics and in protecting vulnerable people from sexual and domestic abuse.

A decision will be finalised in the coming weeks.
