Brighton sizzles as weather in sunny Sussex hits 25C

After plenty of false warnings it seems that Summer is finally here.

Sussex sizzled in the sun today as the mercury in the thermometer reached 25 degrees.

Many flocked to the pier or simply sat in a deckchair on the beach while munching on an ice cream.

The bad news though is that it will not last – with thunderstorms predicted for Tuesday.
