Get a fix of local seascapes – under cover

It’s been a pretty much beach-free summer for the House of Krog. What with the crap weather offering scant opportunities for sun (and Rioja) drenched Sunday basking – and the Dane being a bit of a wimp when it comes to bracing sea breezes.
If the feeling is mutual then head to Hastings Art Forum from 26 July where inimitable artist and arty favourite Mark Glassman has put together a new show inspired by his particular obsession ‘Shingle Beach’. The perfect way to get your fix of local seascapes – under cover. We love the way Mark continues to experiment with the fluid and textural qualities of paint, abstracted forms and graphic simplicity based on feeling and observation. At 36 Marina, St Leonards on Sea until 7 August.
