Feeling hot, hot, hot, does not mean that you get to miss out on your favourite comedians, or exciting brand new comedy. Simply download a few podcasts and take them to the beach.
Brand new, independently made, sitcom podcast ‘Hector Vs The Future’ is created by a couple of staff writers on Cartoon Network’s BAFTA winning ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ – James Hamilton and James Huntrods. Hamilton will be familiar to many from his award-winning sketch group Casual Violence, as will many of the cast who come with their own comedy pedigree – from The Beta Males to Max & Ivan. Episodes 1 and 2 are out now.
Currently on season 6, ‘Pappy’s Flatshare Slamdown’ mixes the panel show format with their own style of pun-drenched anarchy. Guests this season have included Phill Jupitus, Nish Kumar, Felicity Ward, James Acaster and Alex Horne.
Of course, for a real mixed bag BBC Radio 4’s ‘Comedy Of The Week’ which sends you a different show each week – from the topical ‘Dead Ringers’ to ‘The Tim Vine Chat Show’.
