Fall Fashion
Whereas I’m still waiting for summer to actually start, autumn is around the corner and the fashion pack are looking to fall fashion trends. So what’s hot for autumn? Maybe it’s the Olympics 2016 but sporty looks are winning.
This season adds a new dimension to the casual cosy appeal with glamour, luxury detailing and high-shine fabrics. Try the sporty look in one of these three ways:
Street
This is where an otherwise sporty look gets vamped up with a touch of glamour and attitude for everyday wear. A great ensemble to try is a sporty sweater with jeans, sneakers and a trench coat with gold hoop earrings for example.
Slogans
Slogans are everywhere. This is a rather retro look with slogans and statements emblazoned on everything from your t-shirt to your underwear. Beyoncé’s Ivy Park collection at Topshop is perfect for this look while River Island and Zara have some quirky slogan tees and sweaters to covet. Boux Avenue has some comic slogan sleepwear and Debenhams has this look down for interiors.
Slick
Sportswear goes metallic and high gloss. Layer up black leather, silver and white for the most sophisticated take on this trend. Look out for metallic silver trainers at Office, Aldo and Schuh – a star item for this combination.
The beauty of athleisurewear is that you’re going to be comfortable in it with the added bonus that leggings and sloppy sweaters are now the order of the day! Just ensure you add high quality fabrics, keep colours tonal and consider the details to turn it from lazy to luxe.
